Your road to the chair:
“I went to Cosmetology School at Paul Mitchell in Orlando. I graduated in 2006.
I’d always heard about Nick Arrojo, and in 2007, I moved to the NYC to do hair. Specifically with the dream of working for him.
It was a 22 month apprenticeship that I completed in 15. Three months into my apprenticeship I was asked to join the Artistic Team. This meant I began working all the major trade shows. Primarily assisting with the coloring and styling of the models.
My color mentor was a man named James Edick. He taught me everything. I worked my way up eventually becoming lead stylist and Creative Director of Color. It’s been an amazing 12 years. I’ve traveled all over the United States and parts of Europe for my work.
I’m really lucky as it has been an absolute honor and privilege to work for Nick, I mean he’s an industry icon! I love teaching and being responsible for representing the Arrojo brand in the industry.”
Foil or No Foil:
“Both, definitely both.”
Styling products worth eating ramen for:
“Refresh Dry Conditioner and Ultra Violet Shampoo from Arrojo.”
The spritz on the side:
“I honestly can’t think of anything! I guess I really do only use Arrojo.”
